中科院海洋所破譯首個深海甲殼動物基因組

研究人員完成了深海水虱基因組的測序和組裝,構建了高質量的基因組圖譜,其基因組組裝大小達5.89 Gb,是目前已測序甲殼動物中基因組最大的物種。研究發現其基因組中轉座元件的含量高達84%,是(shi)引(yin)起(qi)基(ji)因(yin)組(zu)擴(kuo)張(zhang)的(de)重(zhong)要(yao)原(yuan)因(yin)。通(tong)過(guo)比(bi)較(jiao)基(ji)因(yin)組(zu)學(xue)分(fen)析(xi),研(yan)究(jiu)人(ren)員(yuan)發(fa)現(xian)深(shen)海(hai)水(shui)虱(shi)基(ji)因(yin)組(zu)內(nei)多(duo)條(tiao)生(sheng)長(chang)相(xiang)關(guan)信(xin)號(hao)通(tong)路(lu)上(shang)的(de)基(ji)因(yin)發(fa)生(sheng)了(le)顯(xian)著(zhu)擴(kuo)張(zhang),包(bao)括(kuo)兩(liang)條(tiao)激(ji)素(su)信(xin)號(hao)通(tong)路(lu)(thyroid and insulin hormone signaling),mTOR信號通路和Hippo 信號通路,說明深海水虱體型巨大化的形成可能與其強化的生長相關信號通路密切相關。
